phil just linked me up, he’s a guitar/music teacher somewheres in texas, always has really cool posts on guitar related items.

Lately I’ve been playing in a worship band with mike, ant, josh and jake. there is a video floating out there somewheres of us playing, but it was during a rehearsal/practice, and we didn’t even know we were being filmed, so if you found it ill just go ahead and apologize now.

we had our first acoustic devo this past friday night, and while the turnout was small, like < 20 adult people, it was probably one of my most favorite ones. Sure there were some rowdy kids that eventually quieted down that made start up a little rough, but I think once things got going it was super awesome.

we have another one coming up at the end of the month which will be more rockin, then a possible worship concert in may up at this place called featherstone. we are still figuring out the details on that one, cause there would be alot of gear to bring up if we wanted to rock out, im leaning more towards just doing something acoustic really.

there is also going to be a motivator show sometime in may, just not sure when yet. i actually put some vocals down on some scratch tracks we had. not really ready for primetime consumption, but we plan on trying to have at least a CD with a couple tracks on it for the next show, just depend on time really.

plus i totally jammed my finger yesterday.

ouch.

i decided it would be a cool idea to disengage myself from my bike at the top of some rocks, and then fly pete rose style on top of some other rocks, stopping myself in push up position. needless to say my eyes were crossed for a few minutes. i wasn’t trying to freak mike out by letting on just how much it hurt, but i was actually kinda blind there for a second; we still had a ways to go downhill. 2 crashes on the same trail in 1 week. i have to either stop going to that trail for a while or get rid of my bike. stupid.
