sorry to be so cryptic.
that guy is benson krause (bensonkrause.com). He passed away a year ago, he was one of the most creative people I’ve ever met (probably will meet). We used to make some music together. It was great.
He sang that song October at his mother’s funeral. I didn’t get to attend his funeral, but every time I hear that song I think of him now.
He was in a band called Ophur, they were really good, they broke up before he passed away, but you might dig some their tracks (ophur.com)
