A snake almost got me

Today I rode from my house to Fallbrook and back, besides being really tired, I almost died. Ok thats a bit dramatic, but I didnt see this snake on the side of the road until I passed it and thought to myself ‘Did I just almost run over a snake?’ Here is the pic from my crappy camera phone:
